Privacy notice
Memorial site, https://in-memory-of-prof-yangquan-chen.com
This notice describes how this memorial website (“Site”) handles information. It follows a United States oriented approach. It is not legal advice. The family may revise it or seek counsel before wider distribution.
What you share with us
- RSVP details you choose to submit, such as name, contact information, attendance, guest count, and any optional notes, are used only for memorial planning (for example seating and hospitality).
- Memories and optional photographs or PDFs you submit, together with any name, email, written text, and confirmations you provide, are collected for the family’s private use (such as a commemorative collage). They are not shown as a public gallery on this Site.
- Donation requests: if you use the donation form, we collect the email address you enter so we can send you bank information by email. That message is automated. Specific banking details are not shown on the public pages of this Site. We may record a short audit row (time, your email, and whether the message was sent) in a private spreadsheet for the family. The same IP-based limits described below apply. Memorial contributions are intended to be applied only to Dr. YangQuan Chen’s funeral arrangements and related expenses, and not for other purposes.
- Technical information typical of websites, including your IP address and basic connection details, may be processed to operate the Site securely and to limit abuse of the forms.
Where information is processed
The Site is hosted and its forms are processed using cloud services provided by vendors in the Google ecosystem (the same corporate family as Gmail and Google Workspace). Those vendors process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
The Site does not use third-party advertising or analytics tools to track browsing across other websites.
